Kier's Kidz
Kier's Kidz is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that helps kids and young adults with cancer and their families. We help to underwrite pediatric cancer research. We work closely with Kier's Kidz at Rutgers and with our H.S. Kids Please donate at www.kierskidz.com.
No child should ever die of anything. In our country, the number 2 killer of children is cancer. We can do much better with the right mix of government support, great hospitals and docs, and donors who are motivated to stop cancer.![]()

I apologize for not posting earlier this month, the month that educates us about childhood cancers and encourages kids and families by letting them know that we see them and support them during this tough time in their lives. My wife and I have been ill, and I have focused on helping Mimi as much as I can.![]()

Importantly, I want to recognize and encourage the children, adolescents, and adults who suffer from pediatric cancers. ![]()

Our daughter, Kiersten, died from a pediatric cancer. Every day is a struggle without her. Our world is emptier, devoid of her humor, her energy, and her love. Kier started Kier’s Kidz to help pediatric cancer warriors and their families as her legacy of love and hope for them. Thanks to so many of you and to the wonderful members of our Board of Trustees who have helped so many warriors. We pledge to continue to do so.![]()

Kier would have turned 40 yesterday, a day that we celebrated with love, joy, and sadness in our hearts. ![]()

I can remember the night Kier was born as clearly as can be. She was so alert when she popped out. She oriented herself to the many sounds in the delivery room, but especially to the sounds of Mimi's and my voices. Mimi was so zonked by the painkiller they gave her after the Caesarian that she made me count Kier's fingers and toes. She thought she saw ten on each hand and foot.![]()

And so began Kier's life with loving parents super-psyched to have her as our child.![]()
